National Short Story Prize for "The Cave", 2011 Contestants residing in Colombia, must send a story unheard with free theme, 12 points and a maximum of 35 000 characters without space, :
before July 29, 2011 .
Contestants must submit the story from an email with the pseudonym involved and in attachment, your name, home address, telephone number, personal email, and a brief bio-bibliographical note.
Deadline: June 29, 2011, at 12:00 pm .
The Jury shall consist of three well-known cultural figures whose names will be revealed before the first semifinal session.
No correspondence will be with the participants.
In five sessions, the jury will unveil the stories selected as finalists, with their pseudonyms, for a total of 25 stories.
In the sixth and final session will reveal the names of five finalists, who will read their stories and then tell the jury back to front, from fifth to first the name of the winning stories and their authors.
Awards: The third place winner will receive a check for 2 million pesos . At the second 3 million. And the author of the story won first prize will receive the sum of 20 million pesos . The 25 stories
semifinalists, including the winner , will form a book published to commemorate the First National Short Story Award 2011 Cave. The publishing rights to those 25 stories, for this first edition, will belong to the Foundation La Cueva. Prizes can not be declared void and will only be one winner first prize.
Each contestant may submit only one story.
Manuscripts may not compete again for another National Short Story Prize Cave.
Any case not considered within the terms of this call will be resolved at the discretion of the organizers.
